E frig si liniste afar’ ,
Sunt ulitele iar pustii,
Doar un copil pe un trotuar,
Sta trist ca-n fiecare zi.

Acest nou an e nedorit,
Pentru el nu-i nimic frumos,
El se-ncalzeste la chibrit ,
Saracul , e carne si os.

E tot mereu batjocorit,
De el nimeni mila nu are,
Sta zi si noapte la cersit ,
Cersind doar apa si mancare.

Tu ce-i oferi?Tu ce ii dai?
Poti sa te porti cu el frumos?

Dă-i din putinul care-l ai!
Si spune-i azi despre Cristos!

In acest an sa-ncerci sa fi
Un ajutor la cei saraci.
Si ruga-n fiecare zi
Pentru sarmani sa-ncerci sa faci.
